A Season of Shedding In December, while waiting for my husband to come out of a store, right outside the truck window was a tree. The tree's outer layer of bark was splitting open on its entire surface, and I could see the fresh, expanding layer beneath. A lesson from the Lord came as I observed this: a season of shedding is necessary to accommodate the inner expansion and growth. And this doesn't just apply to trees.  While the shedding can be unsightly and messy, the dead layer must go. In nature, several kinds of birds and reptiles go through molting cycles as they grow and mature. Even as children we outgrow our shoes repeatedly through the years, often splitting and bursting the seams of our favorite pairs.  Prophetic significance: Do not be surprised when things get sorted and sifted out of your life. In my dream (October 28, 2025), I saw a ferocious bear. It was a younger bear, and in the dream somehow I was with my dog Oliver. I’m not certain, but it felt that this was in a warmer season, and I saw American flags around. I overheard people everywhere telling me to flee for my life and to run from the bear. They felt doom for me and for them. However, I walked over to the bear with Oliver, and the bear yielded and actually became just like my dog in temperament. It was under control—unthreatening and peaceful. I had a deep knowing that this bear could be trusted because it was under control. I knew others would continue to be afraid because they couldn’t see or discern what I knew. I then opened the door for the bear to get into the car, and I peacefully rode with him home. People were almost terrified out of their minds for me… but I rested in the knowing of my spirit that this bear is not a threat contrary to what everyone else believed and saw. After asking the question, "Lord, what do You want to do?" a sense of His over-arching mission emerged for the world and the church. God wants to gather, to heal, and to release.   This mission is world-wide, yet individual and personal. God wants people to be gathered to His church in community and gathered to Himself personally. People in America and many other countries are returning to faith—returning to God—and this gathering even applies to those who've been in church for a long time. Being gathered already does not mean they've been healed or released yet, nor have they truly been deeply connected to Him or each other.  God wants to gather people to Himself—people searching for Him and people already saved. Within the gathering of relationship and community, He wants people to find healing.
