A Hidden Key in Giving Thanks

Remember the miracle of the five loves and three fish? And the seven loaves? There may be a hidden key for us found in these miracles Jesus did.  "So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples . . . They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them , He said to set them before the multitude." Mark 8:6-7 "And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loves to the disciples..." Matthew 14:19 "And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples..." John 6:11 (bold emphasis added) In these verses, we see a connection to giving thanks for something and blessing it. Jesus gave thanks for the small amount of food when it was clearly not enough. Does giving thanks for something (or someone) impart a blessing to it? Was giving thanks the key to the miracle of...

Grace for the Transition

I hear God saying, “There is grace for the transition that I have brought you into. There is grace for where to go, how to do it, and the finances connected to it. There IS provision in where I am taking you. Do not worry, but instead trust that I will bring you through it as I always do. In moments of doubt, fear, or worry...remember Me. Remember what I have done for you. Remember every circumstance I have brought you through. Remember and begin to celebrate what I have done. Thankfulness is a gate to the more of Me. Remember that there is grace for where I am taking you!” —Margriet Leach, Emerging Prophets Director, California,  www.prophettraining.com Visit the  FTPN home page . Follow the Golden Tempo

This week, a horse named Golden Tempo won the Kentucky Derby—one of the biggest horse races in the world.  There is a golden tempo for our lives, and the Lord knows what our perfect tempo is. We sometimes run our lives at a speed that's not working well for our health, relationships, or assignments, and we miss things or burn ourselves out. It's also possible for us to go too slow with decisions, stepping out in obedience, or making pivots because of fear, doubt, confusion, apathy, or rebelliousness.  He also said, "Slow down" to me this week. Slow down could have many interpretations, depending on the person He is speaking to.  Slow down to notice what the Lord is doing in a given situation, environment, or in a person. Slow down to avoid hastiness and allow His timing to unfold. Slow down to enter His rest and finished work rather than striving and pushing. Slow down to have peace for your mind and rest for your nervous system. Slow down to hear His still small voi...

Watch for the Signs, by Margriet Leach

I hear God saying,  “Do not be anxious or worried about what is going on in your life. Continue to steward what I have given you and the circumstances you are in. I am blessing you and setting you up in areas of favor that you cannot imagine happening now. You are not stuck, behind, alone, or without resources—even when it feels like it. I am sending help and resources from the most unlikely places. I am with you. You are right where you need to be for this moment.  Watch for the signs that the transition period is over. You are moving from one season to another in some areas of your life while simultaneously being fully planted in another season in other areas of your life. Do not question if you are supposed to move because I will make it clear. Your move is not far off. Trust where I have you and that I have set you on the path of acceleration that leads to promise fulfillment.  It is time to dream with Me and dream bigger than you have ever dreamed before. You cannot ...

Much Turmoil, Much Opportunity, by Krista Dunk

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.  —Isaiah 60:1-3 The strongholds of darkness are being shaken, and the polluted waters are being stirred up. It's like the winter garden being tilled and turned, making a mess, but it's required for the garden's health and future harvest. The mess is actually a good sign.  We have prayed for years for hidden darkness to be exposed and driven out, and now it's happening,  but it will come at the cost of our status quo and complacency. Difficult circumstances will challenge us. This will be a season of darkness showing its hand, revealing itself, which will cause much turmoil. However, alignment with God and walking in His light will bring much opportunity for Hi...

Winds of Change, by Jenny Aitchison

The winds of change have been blowing this week, coming at you from all directions, causing an unsteadiness — a tossing back and forth. There has been an unsettling of places you thought were completely settled. The dirt has been tilled up, turned over — a few more weeds and roots exposed and removed. But even in the midst of the winds and the blowing, even though you feel shaken, because of the depth of your root structure and root system, you remain in place. The winds are causing you to bow low in humility as you question before the Lord. Bring your heart before Him one more time and allow Him to reveal any hidden areas — any places of adjustment — those places where He wants to call you higher so that you can truly walk blameless in this generation. As you bow your heart low in the storm, your roots go deeper and deeper. The anchoring into the deep places is required for you to rise and ascend into the heights with a strength that will enable you to stand and not be blown over. And...

Lean In Close, by Margriet Leach

I hear God saying, “Lean in close. Listen to what I am telling you about moving forward. Do not pull back. Stay settled in where I have placed you—the place of assignment and destiny. Yes, things are changing, but I am giving you the grace to stay steadfast and settled in My peace and joy. Watch how I am working all things for your good. Watch I’ve the next weeks as I show you how good it can get. Watch for My goodness and blessing as we move forward. I am covering you in ways that you cannot imagine. I am setting you up for the extraordinary that I have promised you!” —Margriet Leach, Emerging Prophets Director, California,  www.prophettraining.com Visit the  FTPN home page . A Season of Shedding, by Krista Dunk

A Season of Shedding In December, while waiting for my husband to come out of a store, right outside the truck window was a tree. The tree's outer layer of bark was splitting open on its entire surface, and I could see the fresh, expanding layer beneath. A lesson from the Lord came as I observed this: a season of shedding is necessary to accommodate the inner expansion and growth. And this doesn't just apply to trees.  While the shedding can be unsightly and messy, the dead layer must go. In nature, several kinds of birds and reptiles go through molting cycles as they grow and mature. Even as children we outgrow our shoes repeatedly through the years, often splitting and bursting the seams of our favorite pairs.  Prophetic significance: Do not be surprised when things get sorted and sifted out of your life. Expect some change, a time of leaving behind, a throwing off of things that no longer fit. The Kingdom within you is expanding, causing some necessary shedding. This is fo...
