"Therefore we do not give up." —2 Cor. 4:16a
"Let's not get tired of doing what is good, for at the right time we will reap a harvest—if we do not give up." —Galatians 6:9
"But as for you, brothers and sisters, do not grow weary in doing good." —2 Thess. 3:13
"So do not throw away your confidence; it holds a great reward. You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised."
Lately, I feel the encouragement and grace from the Lord to not give up on what He has called us to. From His perspective, it shows great faith to keep going with what we KNOW He has called us to despite opposition, discouragement, doubt, or fear. Whatever He has called us to is doing good. The harvest will come if we do not lose heart. It reminds me of a time in my yard when I snapped off a dandelion's flower and announced to it that it could no longer reproduce and its harvest was cancelled. God's Spirit immediately uttered about how easily a person's harvest can be stolen by giving up.
This is what He has been speaking:
“When
you see things and hear things that are fearful, don’t get off track. When
words come against you that are unfounded, untrue, and accusatory, don’t turn
aside from what I have told you to do. If you stay close to Me, you will hear
my voice and reject what religion wants to say. Those who are misguided and
haven’t understood my assignment for you, I will deal with. Those who plan
intentional evil against you, those will find themselves in the greater depths
of my justice system. You are safe with Me. Stay with Me. Know that I am
with you. You have much to learn. Plumb the depths!
Keep going with what I’ve asked of you, even when the results seem small. In My wind, all the eagle needs to do is spread its wings to fly. Like how I designed a Kangaroo’s legs, keep springing forward. As an arrow was made for the target, keep aiming and sending. You have no reason to give up on My plans and doing My will no matter what you encounter. Do not lean on your own limited understanding. Be the tree planted by the river; My living water never runs dry. Do not resist My Spirit, and do not give up."
"Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God!" —Psalm 43:5
